Dance Dialogue - Cedar Key February 12 - 15

This will be my first post on my new blog.  Finally just picked a spot in time and got started! So here goes... Still in Florida.  We arrived in Cedar Key at Sunset Isle RV Park on Sunday the 12th for 3 nights.
The mud flats were quite visible and we hoped it was just low tide.

What a cool sign!
The RV park was a little tight and had gravel roads and sites.  Two cars had to be moved so we could safely back into our water front site. Turned out to be an okay place, people were nice and it was quiet.

Once we were set up we went exploring and decided that even at high tide we wouldn't be launching the kayak from camp.  The water was very shallow. That's if it warmed up.  Boy was it COLD. We explored the small town, very quaint. I liked it a lot! Had lunch at Tony's for the chowder. It was good! But a bit pricey. Only about $19 per quart to go! You can order online for $34.99 a 1/2 gallon + $19.99 for shipping!

The second day wasn't as cold and we went on a boat cruise to a couple of the keys.  It was still cold but we learned about the oyster farms and saw dolphins and birds.

The last day we kayaked to Atsena Otie Key.  It's about a 15 minute peddle from the dock downtown Cedar Key. Nice way to spend Valentine's Day.

  1. Great start! I am envious of your sunshine over there, London is cloudy and cool--but at least not raining. Love the picture of Willy in his box on the kayak!
