Dance Dialogue New Orleans Day 4 March 27th

As I mentioned previously we extended our stay by a day so we could partake of a City/Katrina Tour. Just couldn't get enough of the high life! (Or low, depending on your frame of mind) (Or your lack of Hurricanes, a New Orleans' specialty drink)

Dance Dialogue New Orleans Day 3 March 26th

Swamp Tour!

I really would have preferred one of the 'thrilling' airboat rides but Bob's pretty much done with any rides billed as 'thrilling' after Disney World. Not wanting to tempt the gators we leave Willie HOME ALONE with the cats and head deep into the swamp.

D-Movies - Nawlins Scooters

Dance Dialogue New Orleans Day 2 March 25th

So here we are camped on the water, the sun is shining, life is good.  Let's kayak!  I picked this park in part because it has a boat launch and it was way cheaper (or should I say less expensive?) than the one with the highest ratings. We now realize that may be due to its location.  Anyway, we launch the kayak and head towards Lake Pontchartrain.  The sign says it's only 1000 yards up the canal.

Dance Dialogue New Orleans Day 1 March 24th

Having delayed our arrival at Pontchartrain Landing RV Park  (pawn-cha-train?) by a day we were pleased that the storm had passed and the sun was out in all its glory! A couple of naysayers had warned us about the New Orleans crime (murder) problem.  One guy said forty-some murders occur each night (or was it a week?) during Mardi Gras which never get reported because "they" don't want to hinder tourism.  Well, let me tell you, we now think every law enforcement car whizzing by with sirens blaring is on its way to a murder!

Dance Dialogue Tornado Watch

Today was “moving day”.  We have been here in Milton, across the bay from Pensacola, for a month now.  Bob spent most of yesterday preparing.  We were expecting rain and wanted to avoid packing up during a down pour.  Our morning routine has evolved into
